Neither do I think that everyone should understand everything being said -- what's the point of that? But when giving a presentation, I should at least make an effort to define or explain things that might not be universally understood. I've been dinged on this before. That's all. I'd rather it be a little beyond me. That is why the early PHP meetings were so awesome. I would go home and do a research project after each one, based on the keywords thrown out.
